BuffDog – where a dog can be a kid!
BuffDog Canine Fitness Center is to dogs what health clubs are for humans: an exercise facility with equipment, guidance and education all under one roof!
It offers:
• A fit for your busy schedule;
• A way to avoid taking walks in bad weather;
• A much safer, excellent alternative to a dog park;
• Specialized, concierge services where professional, certified trainers physically and mentally stimulate your dog while you go about your day.
It’s a health club for dogs!
Michelle brings more than 25 years of business experience (Certified Project Manager) to BuffDog Fitness™ and, as a long-time dog owner, has an in-depth knowledge of the canine industry.
She is: a certified dog trainer and mentor through the nationally recognized Animal Behavior College (ABCDT); a certified professional dog trainer – knowledge assessed (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers; a volunteer foster parent for the non-profit organization Bichon Fur Kids (bichonfurkids.org); and a regular attendee at canine-related conferences and seminars, including the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) from 2009 to 2012, ClickerExpo 2011 and Pet First Aid & Care. In addition, Michelle is employed by a mega-chain store as one of their two dog trainers.
Her extensive background and exposure to organizations and professionals within the canine industry led her to the conclusion that there was an essential need for an indoor fitness facility devoted entirely to dogs.

“Helping People and Their Pets Travel Safely”
Gayle Martz is the creator of the SHERPA BAG for all the different modes of pet travel. Her mission is to change, improve and enrich the travel experience for people and their pets. It was largely her efforts that convinced all the different airlines to allow small dogs and cats to travel in the cabin with their owners.
The love we all share for animals is universal. For some, traveling is difficult. Traveling with a pet becomes an even more difficult situation. With Gayle’s help, you can share your success stories as you travel with your pet. You can also help others in your community and one day, you will be able to take your pets wherever you go. The SHERPA Bag is recommended by veterinarians, the ASPCA, the Delta Society, Humane Society and many four-footed customers.
Gayle is a recognized pet travel guru and author of the book “No Pet Left Behind” (available on Amazon.com). Her pioneering efforts captured the attention of press nationwide. Reporters from such wide-ranging media as CNN, MSNBC’s The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, Good Day New York, NBC’s Today Show, Fox News Channel, Town And Country magazine and others have told her engaging story.
Her reputation as a travel expert turned innovative entrepreneur has continued to grow, making Gayle a sought-after speaker and consultant for more than two decades.
“Because your pet’s needs are foremost in my mind, the design and safety innovations make this the perfect bag to take your pets wherever you go.”- GAYLE MARTZ

Happily Ever After, One Dog at a Time
It started as a passion for pets. She was the girl who had “horse” at the top of her Christmas list every year when she was little. Her mom always said the animals could sense she loved them: They just flocked to her.
That passion grew into a life choice. The youngest of seven, Kristina was the first daughter to get a bachelor’s degree, then a masters degree. She knew she had to do something with it, and the only thing she had ever loved was pets. So, eventually she chose to leave the corporate world and become a certified dog trainer.
Having always owned herding dogs, she naturally became curious about the sport her dogs were bred for: herding. To her dismay, Christina found that the “traditional” way of teaching included e-collars and other severe corrections.
She found Caroyln Wilki of Raspberry Ridge Sheep Farm in Bangor, Penn. Carolyn uses her knowledge of psychology and how the dog thinks to teach herding and uses positive and force-free methods. Kristina flew her puppy out to Pennsylvania to a two-week boot camp: By the finish, they had competed and earned a Herding Tested title.
Kristina, a dedicated positive reinforcement trainer herself, is now being mentored by Carolyn.
Kristina has coupled her business acumen with her love of pets and her passion for helping to create a once-in-a-life time fairytale for the dogs in her area. She wants to help the dogs and the people in the Pacific Northwest understand the power of positive training. Studies show animal abuse is a gate to abusing spouses and children: She wants to shut that gate.

The Hedz UP Pets WatercollarTM is a patented flotation device, a water neck collar, designed to protect dogs from drowning. What had begun as a homespun American entrepreneur’s dream was now a reality for a suburban dog owner who was afraid her dog would drown in her new pool. The product she created for her own peace of mind has evolved into the Hedz UP Pets WatercollarTM.
For the first few years, the WatercollarTM was in new product development stages — research & development, product testing, product modifications for efficient production, water trials and preliminary market testing. Throughout the testing period, our dedication to its basic function — to save dogs from drowning – and our determination to always have the WatercollarTM made in America, has remained the same.
Our product is the first in a new category within the dog swim safety market – a life-saving collar — a market in which the established dog life jacket has the majority of the market share. The Hedz UP Pets WatercollarTM is the first established life preserver collar brand within the new category. The WatercollarTM pet flotation device is designed to save dogs from drowning by keeping their nose and ears above water.

A New Breed of Pet Insurance – Protecting Dog Owners from Dog Bite Liabilities.
It’s likely that the seed to become a champion for man’s best friend was planted in Deborah Turner years ago when, as a child, she witnessed an act of animal abuse yet was powerless to stop it. Fast forward to today, when Debbie has parlayed her love of dogs, a deep understanding of their behavior, and a background in insurance underwriting and advisory services into a new coverage that promises to pick up where many standard homeowners insurance policies leave off.
Injuries, dog bites, represent 1/3 of all claims made to homeowner insurance companies. Over the last 3-5 years, many of these companies have begun to breed underwrite, that is exclude certain breeds from coverage; completely remove the coverage and/or cancel a homeowner’s policy when there is an incident involving a dog. Federation of Insured Dog Owners, Inc. (F.I.D.O.) was designed to fill that gap.
It now offers the Covered Canine Policy, an exclusive product and benefit for F.I.D.O. members only, developed by Debbie after exhaustive research.
The F.I.D.O. policy is available in the following nine states: California, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Utah, and Wisconsin. It will protect you should your dog bite an individual and cause harm. It does not exclude any breed of dog and starts as low as $75 per dog, per year.

Small Animal Practice – Family Oriented
The original intent of opening Crossroads Veterinary Hospital was to have a practice that focused on developing healthy, committed and trusting relationships between clients, employees and pets.
We wanted to have each person coming through our door know that we could be counted on to provide the best quality care for their pet and provide an environment where we treated each other like family. I believe we have achieved that, and we strive every day to enrich that goal.
Kerri, a Fairbanks, Alaska, native, has led a life enriched by many a dog and cat — including, at one point during her childhood, nine St. Bernards in a 12-dog household!

Linda launched the Puccini Foundation in 2007 to educate the public about the many cancers that occur in both companion animals and humans, and to raise funds for cancer research benefiting both pets and people
In 2006, Linda’s cocker spaniel and longtime companion, Puccini, was stricken with melanoma, the same dangerous skin cancer that humans endure. Her dog participated in clinical trials as part of a partnership between veterinarians at New York’s The Animal Medical Center (AMC) and human oncology researchers at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). Through the trials, Puccini’s quality and quantity of life were extended.
Linda started the Puccini Foundation to honor Puccini’s life and the medical professionals who helped him.

Not all dogs like to wear modified people clothes on their bodies (shirts, sweaters, dresses), and not all owners think of themselves as the type who would dress up their dogs in the first place.
The Classic Rrruffler, with its 5 sizes and elasticized neck, offers dogs of all shapes and sizes the mobility and comfort they need with the right amount of decorative style, fun and personality that owners will enjoy seeing them wear.
For more ceremonial occasions, there are Rrruffler’s formal styles, tuxedo and pink satin that offer understated charm without being too costumey. Our safety collar combines fun and function. It’s made of high visibility fabric, 3M brand reflective tape and has hand silk screened paw prints.
All products made in the USA.
RRRuffler has gone Hollywood as evidenced in the two photos below. On the left, Precious the Pug from the TV show “Nut Job” wears a RRRuffler that even matches actress Katherine Heigel’s dress. Actor Will Arnett is on the left.
To the right, sporting a tuxedo, RRRuffler is Uggie at the Golden Collar awards. Uggie, a Jack Russell terrier, starred in the movies, “Water for Elephants” and “The Artist.”
